K-pop star couple Hyuna and Dawn go head-to-head, releasing solo albums on the same day

K-pop star couple Hyuna and Dawn will go to head-to-head with new solo releases.

In a true test of fan loyalties, K-pop diva Hyuna and her boyfriend Dawn will go head-to-head for the top of the music charts.

Both halves of the celebrity couple will release individual solo albums on the same day, November 5, their agency P Nation has announced.

“Hyuna and Dawn will have a competition in good faith,” a company official said. “They have been gearing up for a new leap forward as artists. Please look forward to their return.”

But the agency has not revealed additional details about the releases, including titles of the lead singles.

Hyuna and Dawn – whose former stage name was E’Dawn – inked an exclusive contract with P Nation in January, a new label launched by Psy, of Gangnam Style fame, an the beginning of the year.

The pair ended their contract with Cube Entertainment in October 2018, following a dispute with the company over their private lives. The couple went public about dating despite the agency’s previous denial of a romantic relationship.

Before leaving Cube, the two were members of K-pop trio Triple H. Hyuna shot to global stardom in 2012 after featuring in Psy’s Gangnam Style video.
