View this post on Instagram A post shared by Lizzo (@lizzobeeating) on Nov 24, 2019 at 4:04pm PST The Hermès Kelly bag is one of the most coveted bags in the world, and considered a dream bag, or unicorn, by many handbag enthusiasts because it’s so difficult to get your hands on one despite its US$9,500 starting price. The luxury fashion house has now introduced a new tiny Kelly Twilly bag charm, that is also a functioning bag for the bargain price of HK$24,100 (US$3,000). Chinese demand boosts Birkin bag maker Hermès’ sales The design includes a Twilly knotted around the handle of a Kelly, a choice many fashionistas make to personalise their own bag. The silk ribbon is rolled around its handle and extends into a large loop, doubling as a lanyard. The tiny Kelly is 5.5cm high, 6.5cm wide and 2cm deep, and can be used to store small and important items such as spare change or breath mints. The famous Hermès clasp hardware was designed with expertise from the maison’s watchmaking department and the swivel clasp and tongues work in the same way as on the real bag. Hermès Birkin sells for record HK$1.625 million in Hong Kong If the Kelly bag isn’t quite your style, don’t worry, the signature shopping bag has also been miniaturised into a leather bag charm this season. You can be the proud owner of this bag charm at a less eye-watering price of HK$4,000. One thing’s for sure, Hermès fans will be quick to make their move when these adorable charms are released – which is yet to be confirmed. Want more stories like this? Sign up here .
