BTS want you to learn Korean with new Weverse app – what do K-pop fans really think?

Fans have long complained about a lack of subtitles on K-pop videos – so BTS and Big Hit Entertainment have hit back with a whole online course of Korean lessons
If you have not heard of BTS yet, you must be living under a rock. The Korean boy group sensation consists of seven picture-perfect men, as talented as they are good looking, who have naturally earned themselves a millions-strong fan legion known as Armys.
Armys have long been complaining about the lack of English subtitles on official content, lamenting that the band holds millions of global fans yet still relies on fan subbers for help.
While parent group Big Hit Entertainment eventually addressed the issue and has since added relevant subtitles to BTS videos, the innovative company is now taking things a step further, encouraging and helping fans to learn their language instead.
