Move aside Meghan and Harry, these 10 young British royals – who smoke, do yoga, work in fashion, TV and journalism – are the real cool royals
Tatler cover girl Lady Amelia Windsor, bad boy raver Cassius Taylor, shirtless gym rat Arthur Chatto, fashion designer Eddy Downpatrick and Muay Thai-boxing model Lady Marina Windsor – these young, individualistic British royals make Harry and Meghan look positively conservative
We are all oh-so-familiar with William, Harry, Beatrice and Eugenie, but have you heard of Arthur, Amelia or even Cassius? Here are 10 members of the British royal family you may not have heard of.
Arthur Chatto
Although his grandmother was the queen’s sister Princess Margaret, making him the queen’s grand nephew, Arthur Chatto has no royal title. Born in 1999, his parents are Lady Sarah Chatto née Armstrong-Jones and British artist and former actor Daniel Chatto. Since his 21st birthday this year, young Arthur is definitely becoming one of Britain's favourite royals – just check out his Instagram.
As he is on the fringes of the royal circle, he is not bound by their rigid rules and can be seen – often shirtless – working out in the gym. And since Prince Harry tied the knot, Arthur is definitely one of the country’s most eligible bachelors. Arthur is 26th in line to the throne and besides the gym, he is into adrenaline sports such as Arctic diving, endurance rowing and mountaineering.
Samuel Chatto
Samuel Chatto is the older brother of Arthur. Born in 1996, he is 25th in line to the throne. Unlike his brother, Samuel’s Instagram is all about serenity as he shares idyllic travel spots and yoga poses. He is actually a trained yoga teacher – a first in the royal family – but after his 200-hour training in India a few years ago, he decided not to teach. Instead, he indulges in his passion for art – especially pottery.
