D-CRUNCH, K-pop’s new kids on block, to stand out from crowd

Nine-member boy band, launched two weeks ago, does its own songwriting and choreography and has released single ‘PALACE’ from album ‘0806’
The global popularity of K-pop means the number of idol groups in Korea is increasing in leaps and bounds – and it is now more challenging than ever to stand out from the crowd.
The latest group, D-CRUNCH, is a boy band that is only about two weeks old, but looks ready to hit the ground running.
D-CRUNCH has nine members, each one possessing a distinctive feature “hot guy”, “cute boy”, “intelligent fool” ... and so on.
The group’s name is short for “Diamond Crunch” – members aim to produce powerful gigs that can virtually crunch the hardest object on Earth, a diamond.
Hyunoh, Jungseung, Dylan, Hyunwook, Hyunwoo, Chanyoung, Hyunho, Minhyuk and O.V have just released their debut album, “0806”, along with its first single, PALACE.
O.V, one of the two group’s leaders, told The Korea Times that the group was responsible for songwriting, choreography and overall production.

“It took about two months to wrap up the entire process,” he said. “Two months may sound short, but we squeezed all we can to achieve the best quality possible.”
“People may play down our music because we are young and inexperienced.
