K-pop boy band BTS clamp down on online haters

News emerges just days before film tour documentary ‘Burn the Stage’ is released in cinemas worldwide
The agent behind K-pop superstars BTS has promised “prompt and firm” action after reporting online haters of the seven-member boy band to the police for a second time.
Big Hit Entertainment says it had received around 41,000 emails from fans between June and October accusing the online haters.
Those who have been repeatedly involved in defaming the group and spreading groundless rumours have already been reported to the police by the agency.
“We took legal action against people who feigned to be employees of our company as well,” Big Hit said.
“We will get a law firm that specialises in this field to deal with online haters promptly and firmly – this is to protect the rights and interests of the artists and the company.”
Big Hit Entertainment also filed a complaint against online haters in 2016.
