Christmas 2019 is set to get awesome as Michelle Yeoh joins the cast of Last Christmas, alongside her Crazy Rich Asians co-star Henry Golding and Emilia Clarke from Game of Thrones.

Director Paul Feig’s next project, about an elf (Clarke) from an all-year-round Christmas shop beginning a relationship with Tom (Golding), the man of her dreams, is set for release on November 19, 2019.

Feig worked with Golding in crime thriller A Simple Favor, starring Anna Kendrick and Blake Lively.

How to live like ‘Crazy Rich Asians’ – if only for a day

What part Yeoh will play in the new film is still a mystery, but it is strongly suspected – and hoped – she will take on a maternal role to Golding’s character, again.

Next year is set to be a busy one for Yeoh, as she is set to return to the small screen as Emperor Georgiou in Netflix’s Star Trek Discovery in January, and also has other projects in the pipeline.

And just in case you are wondering, the song Last Christmas by Wham! will feature on the soundtrack.

'Crazy Rich Asians’ to open in China: a thumbs-up to luxury?

Just how much of an Asian angle this film will have has yet to be revealed, but the fact that the Wham! song will be included on the soundtrack seems to suggest a lot.
