K-pop star Sunmi issues ‘WARNING’ over her Asia and North America solo world tour

K-pop star Sunmi, who will perform in 12 cities in Asia and North America as part of her ‘WARNING’ world tour, is a former member of the now disbanded girl group Wonder Girls.

K-pop star Sunmi will take her first solo world tour to Asia and North America.

The tour, called “WARNING” – named after her latest mini album – will see her perform in 12 cities across the United States, Canada, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Japan.

Sunmi, 26, whose real name is Lee Sun-mi, will start her tour with her Yes 24 Live Hall concert in Seoul on February 24, her management agency, MAKEUS Entertainment, said on Wednesday.

Her final concert of the tour will take place in Tokyo on May 23.

K-pop star Sunmi performs on stage during the MAMA Awards 2018.

Tickets for her Seoul concert will go on sale from 8pm on January 22.

The tour preview poster, released by her agency, said more shows are on the way, too, with concerts in cities in Europe reportedly among the possible venues.

Sunmi made her K-pop debut in the now disbanded girl group Wonder Girls – which released its first single in 2007 – before going solo in 2014. She quickly achieved solo success thanks to hits including Full Moon and 24 hours.

Her more recent releases – Gashina, Heroine and Siren – were all hits, too, and have helped to establish her as one of South Korea’s leading solo female artists.
