K-pop star Sunmi reveals new music plans at start of her 12-date solo world tour
- The singer, who found fame with the girl group Wonder Girls, played a teaser video to fans after Sunday’s Seoul gig
Solo star Sunmi, a former member of the now-disbanded K-pop girl group Wonder Girls, has announced her March music release during a Seoul concert
The South Korean star revealed the first teaser video on Sunday, at the end of the first solo concert of her 12-date “Warning” world tour, staged at Yes24 Live Hall in Gwangjin-gu.
Sunmi’s management agency, MAKEUS Entertainment, also confirmed her comeback on Monday by posting the clip on its official Twitter page. The video is also available on YouTube.
However, additional details, such as the title of the release’s lead track are not yet known.
Sunmi, 26, whose real name is Lee Sun-mi, made her debut as a member of Wonder Girls in 2007, but left the group in 2010, only to rejoin in 2015.
She launched her solo career in 2013 with the release of the single 24 hours and, since the group broke up in 2017, has enjoyed a series of hits including Gashina and Heroine.
