K-pop bands Seventeen and BLACKPINK will perform at the annual Summer Sonic music festival in Tokyo and Osaka in August. The 13-piece boy band Seventeen will appear at Osaka's Maishima Sonic Park on August 17, the second day of the three-day festival, according to the festival’s official website. Seventeen is on its way to the top of the K-pop scene The Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Chainsmokers and The 1975 are among the acts from around the world which will appear on the bill. BLACKPINK will appear in Tokyo on the last day of the festival. BIGBANG, BoA, Girls' Generation and BTS are among the other Korean artists who have performed at the festival in the past.
