Taiwanese actors distance themselves from scandal hit K-pop star Seungri

- Chen Bolin claims he and Seungri – embroiled in sex and drugs scandal – are ‘just friends’ while Darren Wang ‘unfollows’ the star and deletes photos taken with him
Some Taiwanese actor friends of the scandal hit K-pop star Seungri – who resigned from the boy band Big Bang and quit show business after becoming embroiled in the sex and drugs scandal rocking South Korea – appear to have distanced themselves from him.
Seungri, 28, whose real name is Lee Seung-hyun, has been questioned by police after allegedly lobbying potential investors by offering them the services of prostitutes at nightclubs in Seoul.
Taiwanese actor Chen Bolin has told journalists in Taiwan that he and Seungri are “just friends” and he “doesn't know very much about his business or what he does”, according to an entertainment report on the Chinese news portal, Sina.
However, it has been reported that in January Chen visited the Burning Sun – a nightclub at the centre of the scandal, in Seoul’s Gangnam district, which was believed to be partly managed by Seungri – for the Korean star’s “mega-scale” birthday party. Photographs were reportedly taken there of Chen and the club’s DJ.
After the scandal emerged and police investigations began, Chen wrote on Instagram on March 17: “Embrace kindness. Forgive ignorance. A beautiful world with irresponsible comments.”
The post seemingly reflected the actor’s candid thoughts about the scandal.

Another Taiwanese actor Darren Wang has “unfollowed” Seungri on social media and also deleted photographs of himself with the Korean from websites, the Sports Chosun newspaper reported.
