Has K-drama star Song Joong-ki been losing his hair because of his marital woes?
Photographs that suggest the star, 33, is getting thin on top, were published on Monday – days after he and his wife, actress Song Hye-kyo, 37, reveal they are divorcing
Photographs published on Monday of South Korean actor Song Joong-ki – who last week announced he and his wife, actress Song Hye-kyo, are getting divorced – appear to show that he has been losing his hair.
The so-called “Song-Song” couple, who share the same surname, have enjoyed huge popularity as South Korea’s “golden couple” since they became an item while working on the set of the hit 2016 drama television series, Descendants of the Sun.
Song Joong-ki, 33, and Song Hye-kyo, 37, were married in a high-profile ceremony in October 2017.
One Monday two pictures were made public, which reveal the actor with what appears to be thinning hair, which has led some people to comment that stress from his marriage may have caused the condition.
However, one of the photographs (below right), suggests that he had begun to lose his hair even before the start of his marriage.
The image of him waving shows hair missing from parts of his scalp while he was carrying out his compulsory national service with the South Korean Army’s 22nd Infantry Division in 2013 and 2014.
