K-pop girl group BLACKPINK’s Ddu-Du Ddu-Du gets almost a billion music video hits on YouTube
Girl band BLACKPINK is the first K-pop group to have its music video (MV) exceed 900 million views on YouTube, according to its agency YG Entertainment.
The MV of the four-piece group's smash-hit song Ddu-Du Ddu-Du reached the milestone on Tuesday, about 400 days after its release in June 2018.

“It is the record that no other K-pop bands have ever set,” YG said.
Last December, the clip was also crowned the most-watched K-pop music video of 2018 on YouTube, according to the platform.
The band also boasts 16 YouTube clips – including dance practice and music videos – that have surpassed 100 million views.

Blackpink – comprised of Jenni, Lisa, Rose and Jisoo – debuted in 2016 and was propelled to stardom with a string of big hits including Whistle (2018). It recently wrapped up a world tour.
