Celebrity chef Gary Rhodes will be in Hong Kong late September to celebrate French fine-dining restaurant Skye’s first anniversary.
The restaurant is at The Park Lane Hong Kong. Rhodes and Skye chef Lee Adams will present a special set dinner menu from September 25 to 29.
Adams is a protégé of Rhodes, having worked for him for more than 10 years at the one Michelin-star Rhodes W1 in London. Rhodes is said to be a supporter of what Lee is doing here in Hong Kong and has agreed to come and support the restaurant’s first anniversary.
On the menu, diners can expect lunch items and a set dinner menu with choice dishes such as Autumn foie gras with blackberries, hazelnut and sesame brittle, baby watercress, grilled hazelnut butter bread, and mackerel Wellington with leeks, cep mushrooms and smoked truffle butter sauce to start, and mains that include dry aged beef, sticky pork belly with pot of lobster tortellini, wilted spinacn and pancetta and roast black cod. Desserts include toasted marshmallow meringues, After Eight chocolate slice and more. Rooftop dining also includes afternoon tea of warm scones with strawberry jam and clotted cream.
Rhodes is known in the UK and US for reinvigorating British food and fronting cooking shows such as Masterchef, Masterchef USA and Rhodes Around Britain. His restaurants include Rhodes W1in London and Dubai, Rhodes Calabash in Grenada, Rhodes Twenty 10 at Le Royal Meridien Beach Resort & Spa in Dubai among others.
