Ferragamo and Tosca host haute afternoon tea set

The creative and elegant tea set features five savoury items and six desserts
Haute couture meets haute cuisine in Salvatore Ferragamo’s collaboration with the culinary team at Michelin-starred Tosca in an afternoon tea that aims to delight foodies and fashionistas alike.
The tea, which is only available every Saturday from November 18 to December 9, features five savoury items and is complemented by six desserts. From the tea stand to the decadent bites, Ferragamo’s fashionable influence is apparent.

The tea stand, for example, is inspired by Ferragamo’s “flower heel” design from the autumn/winter 2017 collection. The curves of the heel are also found in the Taccofiore, a passion fruit cookie sandwich with hazelnut flan cream and passion fruit cream.

Another highlight is the Vara Rainbow dessert, which looks like a miniaturised version of Ferragamo’s Vara Rainbow bag from its new pre-spring 2018 collection. Another dessert that pays tribute to the bag is the Zeppa Mulitcolor, a fruity dessert that features layers of strawberry panna cotta, ginger cream, raspberry jelly and blueberry panna cotta, and is finished off with fresh raspberries.

Finally, the Signorina Misteriosa looks like a shrunken down version of the brand’s perfume. It is made with layers of jasmine-flavoured cake, blackberry jelly and vanilla cream, all coated with dark chocolate and topped with the Vara bow.
