Food and Drinks

A host of new outlets offering tasty food, great coffee, French boulangerie-style baking and Instagrammable backdrops have opened this month in Malaysian capital

1. Pak Tai

Pak Tai serves cuisine from Thailand’s southern provinces, renowned for their spicy food and rich curries.
Pak Tai serves cuisine from Thailand’s southern provinces, renowned for their spicy food and rich curries.

An offshoot of the original Pak Tai at The Ritz-Carlton Koh Samui, this restaurant serves delicious southern Thai cuisine. You can be assured of an authentic spread at the hands of Thai native chef Guk, who sources fresh local produce and ingredients. For a fiery appetiser, try the Phla Pla Meuk – squid salad with roasted chilli paste dressing, while for the main, we like the Massaman Nua – a cardamom-scented southern curry with slow-cooked beef cheek which falls apart on the first bite. Pair your meals with Thai-inspired cocktails for a distinct dining experience.

It always feels good to tuck into something healthy right after a good workout. Rawsome meets the bill with its latest cafe next to its equally new yoga and pilates studio. The space is bright, airy and full of greenery – even better, they offer bamboo straws.
