The West Street Hotel is situated in Bar Harbor on Mount Desert Island – the largest island in the American state of Maine.

The prices of rooms start from US$249 a night in the off-season, but can cost up to US$2,000 a night for a suite during the peak season, a hotel representative told Business Insider.
Guests can also choose to book two connecting rooms, one with two queen-sized beds and the other with a king-size bed plus a sleeper sofa.
The hotel restaurant, Paddy’s Irish Pub & Restaurant, which has fine views looking out across the harbour, serves Irish-American cuisine and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
It offers an array of delicious dishes, including seafood chowder, Irish stew and whiskey-and maple-glazed Scottish salmon.
Directly in front of the hotel, Stewman’s Lobster Pound serves lobster, steamers, mussels, clam chowder, corn on the cob, and fresh blueberry pie in a relaxed atmosphere.
The hotel describes the pool – Maine’s only rooftop pool – as an “adults-only oasis”.
The hotel offers a complimentary shuttle service that takes guests into nearby Acadia National Park.
Acadia is known for its picturesque hiking and biking trails, and outdoor activities including bird watching, horseback riding, fishing and boating.
