Shrewsbury International School Hong Kong marks first year working with Operation Santa Claus
Students at the school in Tseung Kwan O sold plush toys and designed Christmas cards to raise money for the charity

Creativity and compassion shone at Shrewsbury International School Hong Kong as pupils took part in initiatives to raise funds for charity.
From selling plush toys of the school mascot to designing festive Christmas cards, students at the Tseung Kwan O school spent two months developing the fundraising projects, which were held last December.
The proceeds went to Operation Santa Claus (OSC) for the OSC School Fun4Funds Challenge, part of the annual fundraising campaign run by the South China Morning Post and public broadcaster RTHK.
Leading the efforts were Year Six students Cadence and Kaelan, who both asked to share only their given names. They helped design the initiatives and encouraged their peers to get involved.
“I really enjoyed the Christmas card decoration because lots of students could show their creativity by designing their own cards,” Cadence said. “Through projects like OSC, we were stronger together in taking action and making a difference.
It is important to learn this now, as we will be able to make an even bigger impact in the future.”
