Evolving lessons from AGSM MBA

As the demand for business education grows in an increasingly complex and globalised corporate world, it is essential that MBA providers offer programmes that equip students with indispensable modern management and leadership skills.

“So much has happened across the business world in the last four years, it is important that managers retool to become familiar with the changing face of international management practices,” says Deborah Biber, country manager, AGSM MBA Hong Kong Program, which is offered by the Australian School of Business of the University of New South Wales. “In Hong Kong, the AGSM MBA focuses on providing a real world business education platform and support that allows people to develop themselves.”

Biber adds that their MBA, with its range of electives, allows a student to explore areas that interest them in greater detail and tailor their studies to fulfil personal ambitions.

Offered in Hong Kong for 15 years now on a part-time basis, the AGSM MBA is designed to help students boost their performance and adapt to different business cultures.

Biber adds that their faculty members are recognised for their excellence in teaching, research and thought leadership. They also contribute to international bodies to determine how MBAs should be developed to provide students with maximum benefits.

“From a mainly business perspective, our programme takes a holistic approach, which enables students to see the impact they have on their company, and the communities where they operate and live,” says Biber.
