A teenager in Singapore on Monday admitted that he had tried to rape his younger sister when she was eight and he was 14. He took lewd photos of her and told a friend about it, and the friend later flagged the matter to the teen’s school.

The 17-year-old boy pleaded guilty on Monday to two charges of attempted rape and attempted sexual assault. He cannot be named to protect the victim’s identity and because he was under 18 at the time of the offences.

Another two charges of attempted sexual assault and committing an indecent act by taking lewd photos of his sister will be considered in sentencing.
