NewNo businessman is an island: app helps China’s top entrepreneurs learn from each other
Exclusive social networking platform lets top entrepreneurs learn from each other as they navigate the transformative age of the internet

Social groups set up for entrepreneurs to network within are becoming ubiquitous in China. Yet a mobile application version of such a group is unfazed by the competition.
The app, Zhenghe Island, provides a platform for business founders to share their experiences and learn from each other about how to adapt their businesses in the age of the internet.
“We are unique in combining traditional business social clubs and the mobile internet,” Zhenghe Island president Huang Lilu told the South China Morning Post.
Launched three years ago, Zhenghe Island boasts a membership of 4,500 entrepreneurs, including computer giant Lenovo’s Liu Chuanzhi, property conglomerate Dalian Wanda Group’s Wang Jianlin and investment empire Fosun Group’s Guo Guangchang.
Entrepreneurs are generally pressed, terrified and even at a loss. So their learning attitude and ability become especially important
Founded by former China Entrepreneur magazine director Liu Donghua and funded by 30 local entrepreneurs, the app aims to create a “safe and trusted” social network for elite businessmen.
