More than 10 people using a swimming pool in Beijing had to be treated in hospital after breathing in excessive amounts of chlorine, according to a newspaper report.

A cleaner was said to have put too much of the chemical in the water at a middle school swimming pool in the capital, the Beijing Morning Post said.

There were no reports of any serious injury.
