An artist has bought a mushroom the size of an umbrella from a farmer after he saw it growing in a remote mountainous area of northern China, a news website reported.
This ganoderma mushroom weighs 4.3 kg and has a diameter of 94 cm, 163.com said.
Artist Sun Guofeng saw the mushroom at a farmer’s home in Luoning county in Henan province when he was searching for tree roots to carve.

The farmer finally agreed to sell, after much persuasion, the report said.
No details were given of how much was paid.

Another huge ganoderma mushroom weighing 5 kg and 100 cm wide was recently found in Nanchong in western Sichuan province.
