More than 10,000 people belonging to the Dong ethnic minority group sat along a world-record-breaking 3.7-km long table to eat and celebrate the community’s new year, state media reported.

The event took place on Thursday in Liping country in Guizhou province, the state-run news agency Xinhua said.

Some 1,700 tables were joined to make one massively long table.
