Hong Kong police probe abuse case at school for severely mentally disabled children

Police have launched an investigation into a child abuse allegation involving a special school for the severe mentally disabled in Sham Shui Po in which an instructor was said to have fed a student a puree mixed with his own nasal mucus.
The complaint was made by a woman whose boy is a student at Chi Yun School on Kwong Lee Road.
The woman said she was taking care of her boy in a room on May 24 when she saw another teenage boy whose mucus was dribbling down to his lip.

She said she asked a male instructor to help the boy twice but was ignored.

The instructor was among two others taking care of about 20 mentally disabled students in the room.
