Sham Shui Po shooting was fight over money says Hong Kong police chief as he reassures public city has tight gun control

Hong Kong police are hunting for a gunman after a man was shot in a brawl over a money dispute in Sham Shui Po on Friday night.
According to police, two men had been arguing on Cheung Sha Wan Road near Kweilin Street at about 10.30pm.
One of the men, a 33-year-old two-way permit holder from mainland China, used a section of pipe to attack the other, who pulled out an object that appeared to be a pistol and shot the first man in the upper right arm.
On Saturday, Commissioner of Police Stephen Lo Wai-chung said the force was highly concerned about such violent crimes.
“According to our preliminary investigation, the cause of the incident is believed to be over a money disputes. For now, we are hunting the fugitive in full force,” Lo said.
He said police could not tell what kind of gun it was or where it came from. But he assured the public the city had tight gun control.
