A boy from one of Hong Kong’s most expensive private schools has been arrested for allegedly taking a female pupil to a campus toilet and sexually abusing her.

The student from the Independent Schools Foundation (ISF) Academy was said to have forced the girl to enter the lavatory before committing the offence, according to a police source.

A police spokesman said a report was received on May 14 of a girl being indecently assaulted in a Pok Fu Lam school.

An investigative team from the Western district later arrested the suspect on suspicion of indecent conduct towards a child aged under 16. He was later released on bail pending further investigation.

The academy told parents in a letter on Wednesday that it was deeply concerned about the incident, which had been reported to police.
