Hong Kong student teacher arrested on suspicion of filming female colleague in school restroom

A student teacher has been arrested on suspicion of secretly filming a female colleague in a restroom at a primary school in Hong Kong, the Post has learned.

According to a police spokesman on Wednesday, the force received a report from a woman on Monday, saying she suspected she had been secretly filmed with a mobile phone in a restroom in Ma On Shan.

The man, a student teacher, was suspected to have taken video from above a cubicle in the primary school’s toilet while the woman was inside, a police source said.

The woman screamed after noticing the camera and the suspect fled immediately, the source added.

He said the victim later reviewed security camera footage and contacted police.

After investigations, police officers arrested a 21-year-old man in the district on Tuesday on suspicion of unlawful recording or observation of intimate parts. He was being detained.
