Wife alleged to have attacked man with pan in Hong Kong murder case
Wife, 51, suspected to have hit victim with a stainless steel pan, investigators say

Hong Kong police have arrested a woman in connection with the suspected murder of her 63-year-old husband after she allegedly attacked him with a stainless steel pan in their Tuen Mun village home.
The couple’s 24-year-old daughter returned to their home in Tseng Tau Chung Tsuen, near San Sau Street, on Monday evening and found her father unconscious on a bed with severe head injuries at about 6.40pm. She immediately called for help.
Officers found the victim, surnamed Chan, lying on the bed. He was pronounced dead at the scene, Chief Inspector Patty Chong Yuen‑na of Tuen Mun district crime squad said on Tuesday.

An investigation revealed that the man’s wife, 51, could have hit him with a stainless steel pan, Chong said. She was arrested and is expected to be charged with murder. She was taken to Tuen Mun Hospital after reporting feeling unwell.
Her daughter told police that the couple’s relationship had long been tense and they often quarrelled over trivial matters, financial issues or bad habits.
The man, a cleaning worker, had suffered from heart disease, while the suspect, a housewife, had kidney problems.
The daughter said she last saw her father early on Monday. She recalled hearing a loud impact sound while sleeping but did not check.
