Blind cat stolen from feline-friendly Hong Kong bookshop is returned home
Relief for owner and staff four days after Fok Jai was grabbed by visitor to the Fortress Hill store

A blind cat stolen from a bookshop popular with animal-lovers was returned to the store last night.
Fok Jai, a four-year-old male with a white underbelly and short yellow tail, had been taken from the Sam Kee Book Co, a basement shop at the King's Centre in Fortress Hill, on Thursday.
The shop's owner, Caroline Chan, and staff had been in a state of anxiety over the fate of the timid creature. But at about 6pm he was delivered to the store by the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, which did not disclose how the missing cat was recovered.
"Fok Jai is back. This is very fortunate. He needs time to rest now," Chan said.
"I have told the police to drop the case, as this is my wish. But the police told me they would deal with the case according to the force's procedures."
