Nearly 100 children were arrested during this week’s protests against two contentious new laws concerning Chinese sovereignty in Hong Kong, police have revealed.
And according to the force, almost half of the 396 people taken into custody on Wednesday and Thursday were students.

Officers made arrests in several districts, including Wan Chai, Causeway Bay, Sham Shui Po, Mong Kok, Kwai Chung, Tsuen Wan, Tai Po and Yuen Long. Riot police worked late into the night battling radicals who blocked roads and set fires.
