A Hong Kong worker died in hospital on Monday after he was hit by steel pipes in a cargo loading area, the second fatal industrial accident of its kind in a week.

The 55-year-old man was helping to secure a load of pipes onto a truck when the incident happened.

The three pipes, all six metres (20ft) long with a diameter of about 25cm, came loose, fell off the truck and hit the worker.
