A Hong Kong driver has been taken to hospital in a “half-conscious state” after he allegedly lost control of his private car and hit a truck parked by the road in Kwai Chung.

Police said on Wednesday that the private car with a personalised plate was travelling along Tai Wo Hau Road towards Tsuen Wan. When it passed by Tai Wo Hau Estate in Kwai Chung, the driver allegedly lost control and crashed into a heavy truck parked nearby.

Constables and firefighters rushed to the scene after receiving a report at 2.41am, and found the driver trapped inside the car.
