Its neon pink bags are a common sight in Hong Kong, as its army of delivery staff zip along on bikes, and on foot, dropping off food to the hungry masses.

But this festive season an on-demand distribution platform is delivering something different – and a little bizarre.

Keen to add some cheer to a year blighted by dine-in restrictions and border closures, Foodpanda has joined forces with local hip-hop artiste MC Yan and indie musician Serrini to release a song, “Thank Me”.

In the spirit of giving, the song invites people to thank not others but themselves.
