A teacher in China has trended on social media thanks to her strong physical resemblance to the famous actress, Crystal Liu Yifei.
Since mid-April, video clips taken by students at Huainan Normal University in Huainan, eastern Anhui province, of their teacher Yuan Mengmeng have been circulating online.
The videos show Yuan teaching them logic and have led many people to marvel at the teacher’s resemblance to Liu.
Liu, 37, is undoubtedly one of the most popular actresses in China. She is loved because of her near-perfect looks, as well as her pure and elegant temperament. These attributes have earned her the online nickname “fairy sister”.

Her acting ability has also been praised in recent years after she starred in several hit TV series like The Tale of Rose and A Dream of Splendor.
She became known to international audiences as the lead character in the Disney live-action film Mulan.
Students in Yuan’s class described their teacher as much like Liu.
She is tall and slim and has pale skin. Yuan’s face is as sculpted like Liu’s, while her nose is hump shaped too, said her students.
“Our teacher is very pretty. She is like Liu Yifei in spirit. All of us have been raising our heads to look at her throughout the class,” said one student on a leading social media website.
“I am intrigued by the subject of logic thanks to our teacher’s teaching. She often buys us snacks. We all like her,” another student said.
A third added: “The classroom is always full during our teacher’s logic class. She is gentle and polite.
“Good appearance is the least thing she is proud of. Please do not make negative comments about this extraordinary teacher due to her looks.”
Yuan is said to have received a PhD degree from a top university in Russia.
“I suddenly became the subject of a most sought-after topic on the internet. But I do not think I am a doppelgänger for Liu Yifei,” Yuan told Chao News.
The news has sparked a discussion on social media, after being viewed 7 million times on one platform alone.

“Side-on, she bears a strong resemblance to Liu, but not so much from the front,” said one netizen.
Another online observer joked: “If my teacher was a Liu Yifei lookalike, I would be the best student in school.”
Despite the overwhelming popularity Liu enjoys in China, she is also controversial, mainly because of her nationality.
At the age of 10, Liu and her divorced mother emigrated to the United States. She has held the US passport since then.
At the end of last year, Liu was blocked from competing for the prestigious China TV Golden Eagle Award because she is not a Chinese citizen, despite the fact that two drama series in which she plays the lead role were chosen in the first round of the competition.
