A young girl is receiving psychological support after her father dangled her upside down from the window of their second-floor flat to punish her for urinating in the wrong place.
The unidentified man from Liaoning province in northeastern China shocked the mainland online community when a video emerged of him inflicting the terrifying punishment on his small child.
In a video clip filmed by a neighbour, the bare-chested father grabs his daughter by the ankles and holds her headfirst from the window as she clutches at the wall of the building.
The girl, believed to be around two to three years old, can be heard screaming for help and crying “Daddy, daddy”.
Ignoring her screams, the man continues dangling her in mid-air and warns her not to make a sound: “Why don’t you urinate in the bathroom? You prefer to urinate in your room, right?” he asks her.
When the girl fails to answer clearly through her screams, the father twice demands that she repeat herself as her small body sways outside the window.
