The unidentified restaurant owner from Shandong province went viral for his kindness in recognising the other man’s low income and insisted there be no compensation, Shandian News reported.
A video taken earlier this month showed the elderly man driving his motorbike in traffic and then crashing into the restaurant’s front door and plastic curtains. The door collapses on impact while an air conditioner above sways as a result of the force.
The restaurant owner did not complain about the damage and asked if the elderly man was hurt before telling him to go home.
