A woman in China who survived being pushed off a cliff in Thailand by her husband – and lost the three-month old baby she was carrying in the horror – is pregnant again.

The happy news has been warmly welcomed by people on mainland social media.

Wang Nuannuan, the alias she uses on the social media platform Douyin, was seriously injured when her husband pushed her off a 34-metre-high cliff at a Thai tourist spot in June 2019.

She suffered 17 bone fractures and had to have more than 100 steel pins inserted into her body, plus 200 stitches.

Wang endured multiple rounds of surgery and intensive rehabilitation before being able to stand and walk by herself last year.
