China never fails to deliver when it comes to unusual news.
Here, the Post takes a look at some of the quirky tales which have hit the headlines on the mainland recently.
Tasty Trump
A man in China has trended on social media for impersonating US President Donald Trump to promote Chinese food.
In short video clips circulating online, the middle-aged man, who appears to have stuffed his coat to make him look bigger, uses fluent English and adopts Trump’s accent to sell a type of sausage on a street in Chongqing, southwestern China.

“You have come to China and you have come to Chongqing. You know what? You should definitely try this. I got the right thing for you,” he says in one video.
As he talks about the food, which he calls Chinese hot dog, he also imitates Trump’s signature hand gestures and facial expressions.
The man is understood to be an English-teaching blogger based in Chongqing.
His videos have wowed many internet users in China.
“He is so talented! His original voice is quite different,” one online observer said.
Another said: “I thought Trump was visiting China, ha ha.”
Mobile mobsters

A Beijing man has called in the police after claiming that his mobile phone suddenly went out of control and ran up a 15,000 yuan (US$2,000) bill from overseas on his credit card.
According to a report by state media CCTV, the victim, surnamed Zhang, called the police in January last year saying the screen on his phone turned black and vibrated at night.
When the device resumed normal operations the next day, Zhang found that 15,000 yuan had been deducted from his credit card.
A police investigation showed that the money was paid to a duty-free shop in Thailand for the purchase of a watch, which was brought back to China by a tour guide.
The watch was then couriered to another man who sold luxury items online.
The tour guide was for his part in a fraud gang with 70 members.
The gang is understood to have stolen a total of 10 million yuan (US$1.4 million) using similar tactics on other victims before the police cracked down on them.
Officers said the criminals successfully swiped Zhang’s credit card because he had clicked some problematic links allowing viruses to be planted in his phone.
This enabled the gang to manipulate his mobile from a long-distance.
Baby shock

An unexpected third baby was found in a woman’s womb while she was delivering twins in Shanghai.
Doctors from a major hospital in the city carried out a caesarean section on a woman in November last year, after telling her she was pregnant with twins, the news outlet Baidu reported.
After two infants were delivered, doctors were preparing to stitch her wound only to hear a yell from her: “Wait a second!”
“I feel something moving in my belly,” the woman said.
Minutes later, the third baby was born.
Experts said the infant had probably conceived in a special position and could not be detected by ultrasound examinations.
The triplets are healthy, although their weights were not revealed in the report.
