Chinese man dates 2.2-metre-tall woman despite family dislike, couple expect child soon
Height mismatched couple revel in the long and short of romance, plan to get married later this year
A couple in southwestern China have sparked a heated height mismatch discussion on social media because the man is 1.68 metres tall and the woman stands at a height of 2.2 metres.
The couple, from Chongqing are a man, who uses the alias Zihao, and his girlfriend, nicknamed Xiaoyue, have been romantically involved for more than two years, Haibao News reported.
Their story attracted attention when Xiaoyue released a video on social media in early May announcing that she was three months pregnant.
They got to know each other three years ago when Xiaoyue was live-streaming and Zihao left comments chatting with her.
“We were attracted to each other. We started dating not long after that,” Zihao was quoted as saying.
