On this week's Inside China Tech, Zen Soo speaks to Lazada Group president Yin Jing about how the company has transformed since Alibaba first invested in the company in 2016. Alibaba, which owns the South China Morning Post, has invested a total of US$4 billion in the Southeast Asian e-commerce firm.

The two discuss the challenges of e-commerce in Southeast Asia, whether livestreaming on e-commerce platforms will take off in the region as it did in China, and the company’s last-mile logistics network. What tools has Lazada launched to help its merchants better engage with consumers? And will tried and tested methods in China also work in Southeast Asia?
