Tsim Sha Tsui’s Zozzona welcomes Okinawa’s Pastaione for a cross-cultural kitchen takeover on April 15 and 16. Chef Teppei Zama applies his Japanese lens to Italian classics, using seasonal ingredients in highlights such as mezzi paccheri with Japanese seafood and a pappardelle featuring rich Agu pork ragù. To finish, a tiramisu infused with Okinawa’s famed chinsuko cookies offers a playful twist on tradition.

Peel Street’s favourite slice of Melbourne is leaning further into its roots. Bourke’s has overhauled its menu with new “Native Cocktails” featuring Aussie botanicals such as wattleseed and macadamia, while the “Nostalgia” section reinterprets childhood classics from Down Under like cream soda into sophisticated milk punches. On the food front, expect elevated bar bites such as sea bass with finger lime and a rum-glazed take on the lamington.
