Celebrity chef Steve Lee Ka-ding is best known as a stuntman and Hong Kong’s all-round television personality. He did not become a famous chef until 2016, when he shot to stardom with his starring role in . His affinity for simple, family-style dishes won the hearts of audiences across Asia.
Prominently featured on the TV show are his “black-as-night” black sesame rolls. Famous for the laborious process of making them – it involves multiple reductions and sieving – the silky, thin yet rich, strongly-flavoured black sesame roll is a real treat.
