8½ Otto e Mezzo Bombana in Central serves up Italian dolce vita
- This eatery, named for a classic Fellini movie, blends global ingredients to offer an entertaining feast from a culinary maestro

This centrally located restaurant is named after Federico Fellini’s movie of the same name. The entrance pays homage to Fellini and the movies, with photos of film stars. The interior is contemporary chic, with a mirrored ceiling, banquette seating with nooks for privacy, and chandeliers. There is an ageing room and wine cellar too.

Chef Umberto Bombana’s cooking style is distinctly Italian, sourcing high-quality ingredients worldwide to create marvellous flavours. The restaurant offers a two-course lunch set, an evening à la carte, and a degustation menu. Tempting dishes include Tajima short rib and beef tenderloin, while the home-made cavatelli shellfish ragout and sea urchin is divine.
