Leaks of Oppo’s latest smartphone have started to appear online ahead of its launch next week -- revealing decent specs -- but the question remains: Will it be enough to stand out?

The Find X will likely have a 6.4-inch display -- with a notch -- as well as a 25 megapixel front-facing camera and a dual 20 and 16 megapixel camera set-up on the back.

On the inside, Oppo has confirmed it is powered by the same processor found in some Samsung Galaxy S9 devices -- Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845.

That’s in addition to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.

One thing the leaks don’t answer is what the phone’s standout feature might be. This became more important this week following the release of sister brand Vivo’s highly-anticipated all-display Nex phone with a pop-up selfie camera.

As with all leaks, it’s worth taking them with a grain of salt, but the signs are that the Find X will also have a wow factor up its sleeve: 5x optical zoom, technology it showed off at the Mobile World Congress last year.

In comparison, Apple’s iPhone X has 2x optical zoom.

Some industry watchers think Oppo has been hinting at this on Chinese social media, pointing to a poster that includes a person with a telescope. (An alternate reading of the poster is that Oppo has come up with a new way to unlock the phone).

Among the other things we've learned from the leaks is that it might also support the company’s proprietary VOOC fast charging system, which it claims can charge to 75 percent battery within 30 minutes.

The Oppo Find X will be officially unveiled at an event at the Louvre Museum in Paris on June 19.
