It’s a win-win at Grissini, right from the oven-fresh breadsticks
- Grissini, which is Italian for ‘breadsticks’, does a tasting menu and à la carte options for discerning diners
Grissini means breadsticks in Italian which is apt as the restaurant offers them fresh from the oven, and they are delicious. With views of the harbour and gardens, there is a two-storey wine cellar and Tony DeLapp paintings on the walls.
Chef de cuisine Alessandro Cozzolino presents a modern take on Italian fare and offers an à la carte and tasting menu which features seared sea scallops with guanciale and vanilla cauliflower and stewed veal shank with saffron risotto. Desserts include home-made sorbets and vanilla bean panna cotta with lemon sorbet, citrus salad and fig walnut wafer. Do not miss the cheese boards, which feature pecorino from sheep.
