The grand interior consists of high ceilings with ornate chandeliers hanging over elegant white clothed tables, gold silk screens on deep red walls, Chinese paintings on gold walls and thick lush carpets. Summer Palace exudes grandeur fit for an emperor.
The menu is extensive, packed with seasonal favourites made with quality ingredients. The dim sum is popular at lunchtime and the à la carte menu features double boiled soups such as sea whelk consommé with ginseng.
Other dishes include braised whole abalone in oyster sauce, superior bird’s nest dishes, Peking duck and fresh seafood.
