The final event for the teams has been announced, and it is similar to the men’s and women’s events.

Event nine

The Trio

For time, each athlete completing:

  • 30 clean and jerks
  • 30 muscle-ups
  • 30 snatches (95lbs for the women and 135lbs for the men)

Team members will work two at a time while the other two members rest. Teams may not advance until all four members have completed the exercise.

Time cap: 25 minutes

Event eight, completed

Event nine has been announced for the CrossFit Games teams. Competitors will be heading off-site for the final day’s opener. They will be timed in two exercise on Lake Monona.

Swim Paddle

For time:

  • 1,000m swim
  • 1,000m paddle

All teams members complete the challenge at the same time, starting on the shore at Lake Monona, swim around the buoys and back to shore, then grab paddle boards, paddle around the buoys and back to shore.

Time cap: 50 minutes

Event seven, completed

Big Chipper

For time, working in pairs:

  • 50 cheese curd cleans (70lb for women, 100lb for men)
  • 50 box jump-overs (30” for women, 36” box)
  • 50 team axle-bar deadlifts (715lb for both men and women)
  • 50 synchro GHD sit-ups
  • 12 burpee Snail jump-overs
  • 30 synchro GHD sit-ups
  • 30 team axle-bar deadlifts
  • 30 box jump-overs
  • 30 cheese curd cleans

Time cap: 25 minutes.

The field would be reduced to seven after event seven.

Event Six, completed

The CrossFit Games team day three started with a sprint relay. Rich Froning’s Mayhem Freedom are in top spot at the close of day two.

Sprint Relay

  • Team members will run the course as a relay, slapping hands to tag the next runner.
  • Teams will race against each other head-to-head in a two round bracketed tournament.
  • Round one will have heats of four, four, and three teams, with the top five moving on to the final round.

Event Five - Team Strongman’s Fear

For time:

  • 132-ft. handstand walk, completed in 44ft sections.
  • 132-ft. Worm lunge
  • 132-ft. handstand walk, completed in 44ft sections.
  • 132-ft. Big Bob march
  • 132-ft. handstand walk, completed in 44ft sections.
  • 132-ft. Snail push, in pairs, where each woman partners up with a man

16 minute cut off.

Event Four, completed - Ruck

  • 6km ruck run. Four 1.5km laps.
  • Each lap teams add two 7lb bags and two 10lb bags, distributed how they choose.
  • Team members must all hold on to a 10ft length of rope for the entire run.
  • Women start with 15lb, men with 20lb.

  • Seven synchro rope climbs
  • 42 Worm thrusters
  • 5 synchro rope climbs
  • 30 Worm thrusters

Team Event Three - Clean and Jerk

Team Event three will begin two minutes after the start of Team Event Two.

  • One-rep-max clean and jerk

Order: any, with one athlete lifting at a time

Time cap: seven minutes

  • air bike calories – 18 for women, 25 for men
  • 30 toes-to-bars
  • Big Bob push

Each team will have four air bikes and four pull-up stations, with all athletes working simultaneously.
