The CrossFit Open 20.1 workout has been announced and it is as brutal as ever. Athletes will face burpees and barbells. The exercises were announced at the Rogue Iron Games, and were followed by a live competition between Rich Froning and Scott Panchik.

The Open is an online competition. Athletes upload their scores, with a video if they want them verified, of a weekly workout. The winner at the end of the five weeks earns a spot at the CrossFit Games.

Last year, for the first time, the top Open score from each country also earned a spot at the Games.

CrossFit is a fitness-based competition. Athletes have to be prepared for anything, from burpees to heavy weight lifts.
