Britain’s Queen Elizabeth has died after seven decades on the throne. Adored by many, she was also a symbol of the British colonial empire.
One analyst said it was a question of ‘when, rather than whether’ Hong Kong follows sister city Singapore and other former British colonies in removing foreign influence from its judiciary.

‘A hill station was supposed to be serene and soothing. Now packets of chips, empty bottles and construction material have found their way in.’
